I would very much like to get The Modern Girl produced! To that end, I am looking for a director who would be interested in directing a staged reading. The Modern Girl is to be staged as a 1920s period piece. The cast is five women, including a bit part for a maid, and four men; there is no chorus. There are two acts and, if it were a full production, two sets. Details and script available upon request.

If you or someone you know would be interested, or if you know of a theater that might like to produce the show, please drop me a note:wphil@prpinnock.com.

Thank you!

Phil

Last Sunday, 14 July 2024, we had the first full reading of The Gentlemen's Ploy. I had a group of friends, some new, some old, over to my house and we read and sang our way through it. It was great fun. And only three people got sick at the last minute. That was a little stressful for your author.

The reading was awesome. And after the reading they all provided me with comments, which were most helpful.

Of course, now I need to start rewriting. Once that is done I hope to put on a concert reading that all you beautiful people can attend! Hopefully soon!
